About Ice Skating & Hockey
The Dobson Ice Arena located on Meadow Drive just east of the Lionshead parking structure, offers indoor public skating sessions daily throughout the winter season. Skate rentals and sharpening are also available. The Black Family Ice Rink in Beaver creek Village offers year-round skating and is located in the center of of all the energy and activity of this quaint Colorado village. Scenic outdoor skating is also available. The outdoor skating rink at the Vail Nordic Center is open weather permitting from November through March and offers breathtaking views of the Gore Range. Free outdoor public skating can be found on Avon's Nottingham Lake about a half mile from the entrance of Beaver Creek.
