Vail offers a variety of options for the tennis enthusiast as well as a first-time racquet-eer. Tennis is an excellent workout at any altitude but prepare for a match on the court in the same way you would prepare for a hike lots of water and shade from the sun. Many hotels offer access to outdoor and indoor courts, and even those that don't have them on-site often have access to auxiliary courts elsewhere, so be sure to ask.
